Privacy on the internet is related to the security of your personal information and data and how other people and businesses can access it. Basic human rights allow everyone to some level of privacy and this holds true for the internet too. Internet privacy specifically deals with the display of personal information on the internet, and how that information is redistributed and stored. There are many tools available to increase your levels of privacy on the internet, and on the flip side, there are many people and organizations who attempt to use and exploit peoples personal information for their own benefit. The whole area and discussion of privacy on the internet has been waged for years and there is no clear consensus on what level of privacy each individual should be entitled too when connecting to the internet - It is an ethical minefield.
