The first major incident was a protest against the World Trade Organization in 1999 where the Electrohippies organized a DoS (Denial of Service) attack to drastically slow down the conferences servers.

A second incident was their attempt to shut down the IMF by performing a Virtual Sit-In, that ran in conjunction with a real-world protests in Washington - This virtual protest was less successful than the WTO incident.
