Zcash - Definition from the Hotspot Shield Encyclopedia
Zcash is a form of cryptocurrency that aims to exist as an alternative to Bitcoin and other digital currencies. Zcash is still in the development stages but has a large community working on making a viable technology that will be used long in the future. Zcash differs from Bitcoin as it offers confidentiality during payment transactions even though a Blockchain is still used - In Bitcoin transactions, a public Blockchain is used and anyone can access this and find information about the transactions and the parties involved. Zcash aims to process transactions where the involved parties details are hidden and the values of the transactions are also hidden - Information will be available via user discretion.
