Six Eleven is a cryptocurrency and uses the source code of Bitcoin and one of its derivatives, Namecoin.

Six Eleven allows the register of different names. Once a name is registered, that name cannot then be used by anyone else or taken away from you without prior consent. Six Eleven makes use of the second level domain address which is similar in functionality to .com and .net domain names. Six Eleven was created in 2015 and is the first major fork of the Namecoin cryptocurrency. A Six Eleven record consist of a value up to 520 bytes in size and a key. The key is a path that forms the namespace. Each name costs a small amount of Six Eleven coin and there is also a fee for the update, transfer and renewal of the names.
