Mystery dramas, when pulled off right, can get your heart racing, keep you on the edge of your seat, and make you ask for more. And that’s what the new American drama/mystery series American Gothic promises to deliver. Produced by US broadcasting network CBS and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, the 13-episode series is set to premiere on CBS this coming June 22.

The new one-hour mystery drama—not related to the Grant Wood painting or the 1990s CBS drama of the same name—is about a family of Boston elitists who recently discovered their late patriarch’s involvement in a series of murders stretching over decades. Adding to this is the growing suspicion and paranoia that one of them may have been an accomplice to the murders.

The series was created by Corinne Brinkerhoff, who is known for her critically acclaimed romantic comedy-drama series Jane The Virgin, and renowned writer and media producer James Frey, who is known for penning bestselling novels Bright Shiny Morning and The Lorien Legacies series.

If you enjoyed watching shows like Extant and Under The Dome, or if you’re a fan of family mystery dramas and thrillers, then the pilot episode of American Gothic is not something that you should miss.

You can get into the series by catching the pilot episode on June 22 at 10pm EST on CBS, but that’s only if you live in the US and are subscribed to CBS. Otherwise, you will have to watch the pilot episode using another method, which allows you to access US-restricted content. You will also need a proxy website unblocker or a virtual private network (VPN) to make this possible.

Similar to a free proxy website unblocker, Hotspot Shield allows you to access content and websites that you wouldn’t be able to access under normal circumstances. Hotspot Shield does this by connecting you to a server in the US, masking your actual IP address to hide it from hackers and replacing it with a US IP address to make it seem like you are browsing online from a US location. This means that you will be able to access US-restricted content without having to worry about websites blocking you.

Next, sign up for a free 7-day trial of CBS All Access to enjoy its live streaming service via its Live TV. Make sure to avail of the trial at least 6 days before the shows premieres so you can catch the first episode before your free trial expires. Sign in to your CBS All Access account on the day of the premiere at 10PM EST to live stream the episode.

Other features of Hotspot Shield Free VPN

Aside from allowing you to access US-restricted content and masking your real IP address, the free Hotspot Shield VPN has other features that you can enjoy. These include data encryption for keeping your sensitive information online safe, anonymous browsing to prevent snoopers from obtaining your personal information, Wi-Fi security when you connect to the Internet via public hotspots, website unblocker so you can bypass your network administrator, and malware security to protect you from attacks from malicious software.

Download Hotspot Shield free on your device now so you can enjoy the first episode of American Gothic anytime, anywhere!
